Seychelles Highlights
- Laying in a hammock, the sun hugging you from head to toe, with nothing but fine white sands and the inviting blue ocean in your eyeline
- Taking a day trip to Praslin to enjoy one of its many picture perfect beaches or to explore the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, home to some incredibly rare birds, including the mysterious black parrot. Nearby island La Dique is also worth a visit and perfect for exploring by bike, with no other mode of transport on island.
- A visit to Curieuse Island is a also must! Here you can see the giant Aldabra tortoises roaming in the wild alongside the magnificent coco de mer palm, endemic to this island and Praslin

- Diving underwater, in ocean locations known to be frequented by whale sharks, manta rays and turtles
- Feasting daily on Seychellois cuisine, a mélange of flavours with African, British, French, Indian and Chinese influences

When to Visit the Seychelles
The Seychelles enjoys warm weather all year round, never dropping below the mid 20s, although some months have historically been hotter and drier than others.
April to October tend to be the drier months of the year and April in particular is one of the hottest, with little wind and great underwater visibility.
May to August are popular months, especially during school holidays. This is also when high south-east trade winds bring the weather down to slightly cooler levels until September and October, when the winds die down and underwater visibility is most excellent, making these two months a great time to visit.
November to March is when temperatures are warmer and winds are generally lighter but rainfall is higher, particularly in December and January. That being said, it’s during this rainfall where the beauty of the lush green vegetation is at its best.

Getting to the Seychelles
Getting from the UK to the Seychelles typically involves a stopover. Your final arrival airport will be Seychelles International Airport, on the island of Mahé. From there, we’ll arrange a private transfer by car, ferry, speedboat or seaplane, depending on which island your resort is on.
Total journey times start from around 13 hours but vary depending on your stopover destination. Speak to your retreat designer about turning a stopover into a short stay of its own, to make your trip to the Seychelles part of an exciting multi-centre itinerary.
