When to Visit Sri Lanka
As with other Indian Ocean countries, Sri Lanka enjoys average temperatures of 25-30°C throughout the year, making it a great year-round holiday destination.
The peak season runs from December to mid-April. This is when the south and west coasts of Sri Lanka benefit from drier weather, whereas the northern regions and east coast are impacted by monsoon.
Contrastingly, if you’re visiting Sri Lanka between May and October, it’s better to stay on the east coast and northern regions of the island for drier, sunnier weather, as this is when the south-west monsoon brings rain to the southern and western regions of the island.

Getting to Sri Lanka
Flights from the UK to Sri Lanka arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, often referred to as Colombo International Airport as it's located to the north of Colombo. From there, we’ll arrange a private transfer to take you to your resort by road or we’ll organise an onward connecting flight to other domestic airports, depending on what works best for your itinerary.
Direct flights are available from London Heathrow to Colombo International Airport with a duration of approximately 10 hours. However flights from other UK airports typically include stopovers. Speak to your retreat designer about turning a stopover into a short stay of its own, to make your trip to Sri Lanka, part of an exciting multi-centre itinerary.
